About us

Dr. Ginger LaNye
Medical Director/Surgeon
She has worked at several hospitals in the Tulsa area, but is excited to be working so close to home. She has two sons which keeps her on her toes. Her oldest loves baseball and gaming, while her youngest has just transitioned to the Tuba in band. Also in the house are Kharma, a loving, albeit hyper, black and tan Doberman Pinscher, and Daya, a sweet, gray, domestic shorthair. She is excited about the opportunity to provide the best care for your furry family members and the ability to work with the wonderful, caring, and compassionate staff at Premier Animal Wellness and Surgery.

Dr. Lisette Wigton
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Andrea Harl, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Her favorite part about being a vet is helping owners become closer to their pets. Like all of us at PAWS, she loves cuddling new puppies and kitties.
Dr. Harl has an avid interest in preventive medicine and a healthy lifestyle, both for humans and animals. She’s a certified yoga instructor who loves hiking, travel, and rock concerts. She’s a devoted mom to two tweens, Aiden and Isabella. Her furry family includes a sixteen-year-old Lab named Phoebe, a sixteen-year-old cat named Eve, and a recent adoption–an orange tabby kitten named Phoenix.
Dr. Andrea Harl is a wonderful addition to our PAWS family, and we can’t wait for you to meet her!

Shannon Newton
Office Manager
Shannon has been married to the man of her dreams since 2008 and they have three children and four very energetic grandchildren. Her home would not be complete without her fur babies, Addie, (who can do no wrong), and Penny.
‘To be able to be there for a client that has to make life-altering decisions, or to help a patient that is in pain, is the reason I do what I do. There isn’t a person I work with that does not feel the same way. I truly am blessed with the best job in the world.’

Jesse McAtee, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician

Linzi McMillen

Linzi married her high school sweetheart in 2011. Together, they have a human son, Logan, the sweetest pitbull named LT, and a three-legged cat named Nala which is our clinic cat at PAWS.

Dr. Jennifer Mathews
Owner & Veterinarian
Dr. Jennifer Mathews graduated in 1997 from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and opened a practice in Tulsa which she owned for thirteen years. A silent partner in Southpark (now PAWS) since 1998, she came on board full time in 2015 as practice manager and CFO, then purchased PAWS outright in 2018.
Dr. Mathews is a lifelong animal lover who believes our pets help us tap into the best part of ourselves—the place in our heart that creates unconditional love.
Aside from cuddling puppies and kittens, her favorite part of owning PAWS is seeing its employees grow and discover their incredible potential. She is literally surrounded by compassionate, dedicated rockstars, and feels unbelievably blessed to be among them.
Dr. Mathews has three children, almost grown, and is delighted to have recently married her husband and best friend, Billy Stacey. They share a love for traveling, kayaking, nature walks, movies, and antique malls. Billy has a knack for renovating houses (they’ve done two in the last two years) and they can’t wait to start on their current home. They’re both football fans, Oklahoma State for her and Arkansas for him, and hope to attend more games in the next few years.
Their furkid family includes Scratchy—an orange tabby named by her oldest child—a rescue Terrier named Lacey, and a thirty-two year-old Paint gelding named Luke. Their foster dog, Dolly, recently found her furever home (hooray!), but they still get to babysit sometimes. Their beloved Lab, Pete, recently left a big, furry hole in their hearts when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He was A Very Good Boy and they miss him very much.
Since Dr. Mathews took over, PAWS has undertaken numerous improvements designed to help clients and their furbabies enjoy a more relaxed, gentle, and less stressful visit. From monthly payment plans (ease of budgeting) to digital X-ray (fast and accurate) to newly-remodeled lobby and exam rooms (non-skid floor, couches in rooms, fold up exam tables), Dr. Mathews planned each move with patient and client comfort in mind. She’s always up for new ideas and loves to hear from clients.
