About us

Dr. Kristi Wittlich has had multiple careers. She first received a Bachelors Degree in‬
computer science from the University of Central Oklahoma, and wrote and supported‬ ‭computer software for 10 years before she went back and obtained her doctorate in‬‭ veterinary medicine from Oklahoma State. University in 1998. She loves cats and dogs of all varieties, and her special interests‬ include cardiology, canine rehab and soft tissue surgery. She has two cats, Alexis and‬ Bartholemew, and two horses, Cotton and Hank.

In her spare time, she enjoys‬ horseback riding, reading, and target shooting.

Stevi is a graduate of the veterinary technician program at Tulsa Community College in 2016. She has experience working in urgent care, nutrition, and neonatal care. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is learning the best medicine to help animals and passing her knowledge to newer technicians and assistants. She has been married to her husband since 2013, whom she gives credit to for helping her through the technician program. Together they have two human teenagers, three dogs, five cats, a turtle, a crocodile skink, and a snake!

Outside of work, Stevi enjoys adventurous activities such as kayaking or even skydiving. We are so excited to have her on the PAWS team!

Catherine attended veterinary technician school at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, graduating in 2022. She has two precious cats of her own, named Charlie and Juni.

Outside of work, she enjoys running and traveling. Catherine is a lover of music and vegetarian food.

We are so excited to have her on our team and know you will enjoy having her as your pet’s technician!

Jessie started through a Tulsa Tech program and has worked for PAWS since 2022 as a veterinary assistant. She loves helping pets and providing compassionate care.

She currently doesn’t have any pets of her own but helps take care of her mom’s dogs. Whenever she’s not at work, she’s spending all her time fishing.

We love having her on our team, and we know you will love her too!

Gretchen has always loved animals from a very young age. Whether it be fostering stray dogs, owning and caring for chickens, volunteering with horses, or snuggling her own pups at home, she has always had a huge heart for all animals.

Gretchen is currently a student in the TCC Veterinary Technology program and hopes to graduate with her license in 2027. She has been a team member at PAWS since October of 2023.

She is super grateful for everything she has been able to learn through her employment at PAWS, and for all the wonderful people and pets she’s been able to meet.

In her free time, Gretchen loves to crochet and cook a wide variety of foods. She’s a bit of a foodie herself, with Asian and Italian-style dishes being her favorites.

Alexis is currently enrolled in Tulsa Community College’s Veterinary Technology Program and will graduate in 2026. She adopted her dog, Poppi, from the program, and they have been inseparable ever since.

She was in FFA in high school and loved showing and caring for her goats. She enjoys getting to know each of your fur babies as she continues to grow and practice her skills.

Sam grew up with her family in Broken Arrow, where she graduated from Broken Arrow High School. She has an extensive background in customer service. PAWS is her first role in the veterinary field, and she is loving all the knowledge she’s gaining every day!

In 2019, Sam adopted a dog from the Broken Arrow Animal Shelter named Molly, who is the light of her life and keeps her very busy! When she’s not at the clinic, Sam enjoys being outdoors, gardening, and reading.

Kat grew up surrounded by pets at home and regularly pet sat for his neighbors. While in high school, Kat volunteered at the animal shelter where his mom worked and helped care for stray cats and kittens in his neighborhood.

In his free time, Kat enjoys playing video games, collecting rubber ducks, and spending time with his cat, Annabelle.

Caity was raised around farm animals and found herself owning horses, cows, pigs, cats, and dogs from a young age. She was part of FFA in school and loved learning about animal science. She knew early on that she wanted to be part of a team that cared for animals the way PAWS does!

Caity has been in the veterinary field since 2017 and has worked with PAWS since 2018. She’s been with her husband for many years, and together they have two children, Ryder and River. Their fur family includes two adopted dogs named Zola and Eddie, and a cat named Luna.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the lake with her family.

Dr. Mathews is a lifelong animal lover who believes our pets help us tap into the best part of ourselves—the place in our heart that creates unconditional love.

Her favorite part of owning PAWS is seeing its employees grow and discover their incredible potential. She is literally surrounded by compassionate, dedicated rockstars, and feels unbelievably blessed to be among them.

Dr. Mathews has three children, almost grown, and is delighted to have recently married her husband and best friend, Billy Stacey. They share a love for traveling, kayaking, nature walks, movies, and antique malls. Since Dr. Mathews took over, PAWS has undertaken numerous improvements designed to help clients and their furbabies enjoy a more relaxed, gentle, and less stressful visit. From monthly payment plans (ease of budgeting) to digital X-ray (fast and accurate) to newly-remodeled lobby and exam rooms (non-skid floor, couches in rooms, fold up exam tables), Dr. Mathews planned each move with patient and client comfort in mind. She’s always up for new ideas and loves to hear from clients.

Linzi started working in the veterinary field in 2002 as a kennel technician. And once she graduated High School, she was promoted to a veterinary assistant and was quick at learning and mastering the skills of veterinary technicians. She joined the PAWS team in April 2013 and couldn’t be happier to work with her amazing team members.

Linzi married her high school sweetheart in 2011. Together, they have a human son, Logan, the sweetest pitbull named LT, and a three-legged cat named Nala which is our clinic cat at PAWS.
